WS2-2 Modeling and simulation of EMC in automotive and aerospace applications

This tutorial will teach you how to model and simulate various EMC-related effects in automotive and aerospace applications. Any vehicle and aircraft contains many electrical systems that are connected by cable harnesses. These can pick up power from lightning, high-intensity radiated fields or neighboring cables, causing system malfunction. Conversely, cables may radiate into their environment and exceed regulatory limits. To complicate matters, carbon-fiber reinforced composite materials are often used in vehicles and especially in aircraft. To be able to predict EMC effects requires several careful modeling decisions, which depend on the scenario. This tutorial will provide the necessary insight.
