PS-09 A 3D CUDA FDTD Method for Electromagnetic Analysis

This paper presents a parallel FDTD implementation designed for electromagnetic simulations. CUDA is the computing platform used to parallelize the FDTD method. As a result, a reduction in the FDTD computational cost is achieved using the implementation proposed. A comparison between a conventional implementation and the parallel one is performed for a large frequency range using electromagnetic pulse analysis. The return loss characteristics of two antennae were obtained to validate the proposed application.
